New incentives to shop in Dunstable

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010
Alan Ferguson

Dunstable Town Council have set up a new website to encourage more people to shop in the town.

The site, www.shopdunstable.co.uk is billed as “a way of supporting local business and simultaneously providing better value for those who shop within the town. By using the downloadable vouchers you are not just getting a great deal on shopping and leisure activities, but are also supporting our local businesses and the local economy, which is imperative for the future of our town”.

Curiosity of course got the better of me, so I visited the site this morning. Registration was simple and seconds later I had validated my details and was able to download the PDF of vouchers.

I have no use for hair vouchers (sadly!), but after many visits to the K2, will be taking advantage of this voucher!

Take a look for yourself at www.shopdunstable.co.uk.

  1. Chris from Dunstable says:

Encouraging more people to Dunstable town centre is a simple process. Make parking free. Free parking would give the town an immediate advantage over other areas and people would start to come back.

The only people who would not welcome such a boost to Dunstable’s economy would be the parking enforcement company… no loss there then.
